Losing Weight Without Diets

If you really go and think about it, to lose weight is quite simple. All that is really required is for you to be able to burn more calories than you consume. This is very possible by simply exercising more. When your body realizes that it cannot get the required energy from the food you consume, automatically it is going to start burning the layers of fat in your body so as to counter for the lack of energy.

However, although this might seem like a very simple process to accomplish, it is quite difficult for many men and women as they would find it easier to escape from quicksand than to lose weight. But all that is actually required is a little hard work, some concentration and dedication. The most important thing to bear in mind is that to be able to effectively lose weight, it is important that your body can burn more calories that it can consume.

As part of the basic metabolic rate of the body which includes breathing, the body is constantly burning calories. But the fact that we are constantly sitting or in some sort of stationary position in whatever we do, results in us only losing weight through such a metabolic process of the body. In order to burn more calories, a variety of actives have to be incorporated that can increase the rate of heart beat such as jogging, running or walking.

The consumption of calories and the amount of calories burnt can work in two ways. If you are unable to get the required amount of exercise that is needed to burn sufficient quantities of calories, then you should be able to effectively reduce the intaken quantity of calories. The more the time spent on exercising, the less the amount of time you will have to spend on calorie-watching.

Another very important point to remember is that irrespective of whether you are exercising or not, it is vital that you watch your diet as it is evidently a great contributor to losing weight. Remember that if you really want to lose weight at all cost, then you have to have great amounts of will-power so as to not succumb to any types of temptations when at a party or out with friends. This does not mean that you should starve, instead you should have a well balanced and nutritious meal at all times.

One type of scenario that has proved to have tremendous success is to have between 5-6 small meals day instead of the regular three. Also make sure that all your meals contain a mixture of fats, minerals, vitamins, proteins, and carbohydrates so that you can provide all the necessary energy that your body needs to stay fit.

Finally, apart from the diet comes the exercise. If is vital that you incorporate some sort of exercise in your daily regime. Either you could visit a gym three times a week, or go for short walks in the evening or even go swimming. It does not matter what exercise you do, but how many repetitions you can do in a particular period of time. Over time, try to increase the number of repetitions that you do in a particular time frame.

Why Don???t Diets Work?

When you first start a diet, you may lose weight. But soon you start to gain weight.

why does this happen? Why don’t diets work? Here???s are a few reasons:

  • Diets don???t change the way you eat. You must learn new ways to eat healthy if you want to keep the weight off.
  • Diets do not keep you physically active. Weight loss is a balance of cutting calories and increasing exercise.
  • Diets make you hungry, since you are eating less, and sometimes your body doesn’t get the nutrition it needs. When you are on a diet, you may skip meals. Skipping meals is not a healthy way to lose weight.
  • Diets don???t last forever! Keeping weight off lasts a lifetime.
  • Diets don???t teach you why you eat. Sometimes you eat because you feel sad, angry or stressed. You must learn healthy ways to express your feelings other than eating.
  • Diets are hard to keep for very long. Again, keeping your body at a healthy weight last for the rest of your life.
  • Dieting may work for a short period of time. To stay at a healthy weight you must eat healthy and exercise.

??? Eat breakfast every morning. Try oatmeal with banana slices, walnuts, and low-fat or fat-free milk.
??? Don???t eat too much. Remember what serving sizes are.
For example: A serving of meat for adults is the size of a deck of playing cards.
??? Choose healthy foods for you and your loved ones. Eat more fresh fruits and vegetables when you can get them. For example: Bananas, carrots, apples, almonds, green beans, and milk are all good for you.
??? Fruits and vegetables that are frozen or canned are also a good choice when you can???t get fresh.
??? Cut back on processed foods. For example: Corn chips, potato chips, pepperoni, bologna, and hot dogs are not as healthy.
??? Eat a variety of foods.
