A Self-test For Cocaine Addiction

If you answered yes to any one of the above questions, you may have a problem with cocaine addiction.

1. After using cocaine, do you have problems sleeping without taking a drink or some other drug?

2.Are you afraid that if you stop using cocaine or alcohol your work will suffer or you will lose your energy, motivation, or confidence?

3.Are you having financial problems caused by using cocaine?

4.Are you obsessed about getting cocaine when you don’t have any?

5.Are you thinking getting loaded even while interacting with a friend or loved one?

6.Do you ever feel that people are talking about you or watching you?

7.Do you ever use more cocaine than you planned?

8.Do you ever wish that you had never taken that first line, hit, or injection of cocaine?
9.Do you feel depressed, guilty, or sorry after using cocaine?
10.Do you have an anticipation high just knowing you are about to use cocaine?
11.Do you spend time with people or in places you otherwise would not be around if drugs were not available?
12.Do you use drugs in your car, at work, in the bathroom, or airplanes, or other public places?
13.Do you use larger doses of drugs or alcohol to get the same high you once felt?

14.Do you use the cocaine you have almost continuously until your supply is gone?
15.Has the use of cocaine interfered with your job?
16.Have any of your friends or family said that you may have a problem with cocaine?

17.Have you ever experienced sinus problems or nosebleeds from using cocaine?

18.Have you ever lied to or misled those around you about how much or how often you use?

19.Have you ever stolen drugs or money from friends or family to get drugs?

20.Have you experienced chest pains or rapid or irregular heartbeats when using cocaine?

21. Have you started using drugs or drink when you’re alone?

22.Have you tried to quit or cut down on your cocaine use only to find that you couldn’t?

23.Is using cocaine causing problems with your spouse or family?

If you answered yes to any one of the above questions or if you have cocaine withdrawal symptoms, you may have a problem with cocaine addiction.

This is a self-test for alcoholism. Answering YES to any one of these questions is a definite warning sign that you may be alcoholic.

1. Do you need a drink the next morning?

2. Do you prefer to drink when you are by yourself?

3. Do you miss time at work due to drinking?

4. Does your drinking cause problems for your family in any way?

5. Do you crave a drink at the same time each day?

6. Do you get the shakes inside unless you keep drinking?

7. Has drinking made you irritable or in a bad mood?

8. Does drinking make you careless for your family’s well being?

9. Have you harmed your husband (wife) since you started drinking?

10. Has drinking changed your personality?

11. Does drinking cause you bodily complaints (headaches, nausea)?

12. Does drinking make you restless?

13. Does drinking make it hard for you to sleep?

14. Has drinking made you more impulsive?

15. Do you have less self-control since you started drinking?

16. Has you initiative decreased since you started drinking?

17. Has you ambition decreased since you started drinking?

18. Do you give up when pursuing a goal since you started drinking?

19. Do you drink to feel at ease socially? (If you are a shy, timid, or self-conscious person.)

20. Do you drink for self-encouragement? (If you have feelings of inferiority.)

21. Do you drink to relieve your feelings of inadequacy?

22. Have you had problems with sexual potency since drinking?

23. Do you show real dislikes and hatreds since drinking?

24. Have you gotten more jealous, in general, since drinking?

25. Do you very moody as a result of drinking?

26. Has your efficiency gone down since drinking?

27. Has your drinking made you more sensitive?

28. Are you harder to get along with since drinking?

29. Do you turn to an inferior environment since drinking?

30. Is drinking endangering your health?

31. Is drinking affecting your peace of mind?

32. Is drinking making your home life unhappy?

33. Is drinking putting your business as risk?

34. Is drinking clouding your reputation?

35. Is drinking disturbing the harmony of your life?

Answering YES to any one of these questions is a definite warning sign that you may be alcoholic. If you answered YES to two or more of the questions the chances are that you are an alcoholic.
